When I went to Dhaka for the treatment of eye problem. I was psychologically depressed and lost my confidence to lead a normal life as I couldn’t see properly with my left eye. As I was not economically solvent the cost of surgical treatment further escalated my worriedness.  Al last I got the address of Bashundhara Eye Hospital & Research Institute (BEHRI) from one of my well-wisher. Then I reached to BEHRI in no time. I received the most modern operative treatment of cataract with love and care thanks  to all the caring staff of BEHRI for their empathy. I forgot to tell that all these treatment were free of cost. I could not clearly read the holy Al Quran before eye operation. They assured me cataract surgical treatment free of cost. I am over whelmed to see clearly again with left eye after treatment. I want to thank BEHRI for good surgery and care.

MAINTENANCE OF ZAKAT FUND:

A zakat fund is maintained by Vision Care Foundation from which the cost of treatment of the eyes as well as cost of medicines, spectacles and operation will be provided to the poor patients who are eligible to get zakat as per Islamic Shariah. for this purpose a Shariah Bord has been formed. The following persons are the members of the Shariah board:

  1.  Mufti Muhammad Rizwanur Rahman
  2. Mufti Md. Abdullah Anwarul Karim
  3. Mufti Mohammad Ismail

The zakat Fund is maintained under the direct supervision of the Shariah Board and a separate Bank Account is maintained for this purpose.
